Reassurance Scans from 8 weeks and at any stage throughout your pregnancy. Pregnancy can be a very worrying time for some couples. If you have any reason to be concerned we will do our best to put your mind at rest. Our sonographers are fully qualified and very experienced in obstetrics.

Gender Scans between 18 and 34 weeks. If your baby is not in a suitable position for us to determine the sex during your first visit we will invite you back for one further appointment at no extra cost.

4D Bonding can be done at any stage during your pregnancy. However, the best results are obtained between 24 - 34 weeks with the optimum time being 26 - 28 weeks for single pregnancies and 22 - 26 weeks for multiple pregnancies.

Your Future Babies Experience...

You will be offered complimentary refreshments on arrival.

Our fully qualified sonographer will look at your hospital notes, discuss your pregnancy with you and talk to you about what you would like to get from your scan. We will be able to estimate your baby’s weight for you, explain what position your baby is in and tell you the sex if you would like to know.

Our stylish scanning room is comfortable and spacious and we use the latest ultrasound technology.

Your ultrasound scan is shown on a large LCD screen so that you can really see your baby clearly and in every detail.

Our scanning room can accommodate up to 3 of your family and friends comfortably to join you and share your experience.
  

Information for 4D scans

The best time for you to have your Future Babies 4D scan is between weeks 24 - 34 of your pregnancy, with the optimum time being at around 26 weeks.

Prior to 22 weeks the baby is still developing and the facial features will not be as clear. After 34 weeks the baby will be getting very big and there will not be as much amniotic fluid around the baby. The baby is also more likely to be head down and so it can be more difficult to see the face. Of course results are entirely dependent on the position of the baby and we have had some lovely results at 35 and 36 weeks so do contact us if you would still like us to try for you. You must bring your hospital notes with you to your appointment so that our sonographer can look at them as every pregnancy is individual.

If you are expecting twins or more you should have your 4D scan at around 20 - 24 weeks and preferably before 27 weeks. Please let us know if you are having twins or more when you book. Please note: It is not usually possible to see both babies at the same time.

The quality of the 3D images we are able to obtain depends on many factors such as, position of the baby, amount of amniotic fluid in front of the area being scanned and amount of tissue the sound wave needs to travel through ie: Mum's tummy, placenta, cord etc. If your baby is not in a suitable position during this time and we are not able to obtain any images we will invite you back for one further appointment free of charge.

Choose Your Own Music

With any of our packages that includes a DVD you can have any music of your choice recorded onto the DVD at the time of your scan. You can either take advantage of our music download service, bring your own CD or use one of the CD's that we have at the studio.

 
Our Music Download Service

If you have some favourite songs; songs that bring back special memories, tell us the titles and the artists and we will endeavor to download them for you. We will download up to 20 minutes of music to record onto your DVD with your scan*. Our Complete Package includes this service or you can add it as an extra for just £20.

*We will require at least 48 hours notice and although we will do our best, we can’t always guarantee your first choice.

Bring Your Own CD or Use One of Ours

Alternatively you are welcome to bring your own CD for us to use or use one of ours. If you do bring your own CD it must all be on just one disc and must be an original or recordable CD, not a re-writable CD.

 
Personalise Your DVD Cover

We can also personalise your DVD case. You can choose a picture of your baby and a message to have on the cover of your DVD case. Our Complete Package includes this service, or you can add it as an extra for just £15.

We usually put the baby's name, how many weeks pregnant you are and the date. However, it is your DVD and we want it to be personal to you so please let us know if you would like anything else.

For all other packages including both a DVD and CD ROM we use a standard Future Babies case cover.
